Just click on a request if you think you might know someone who can help the requester find the solution they seek. You’ll be able to send the request to your friends, or you’ll be able to refer yourself. The requester won't see your friend's (or your) email address, but they’ll be able to send messages through the system (via the Dashboard.) If the requester finds the solution with your help, then you're due the reward they offered. The requester will either report the transaction closed on their own, or you can prompt them to do so by reporting it closed via your Dashboard.
When the requester deems that the transaction is closed, they should hit the “pay" button next to the listing in their Dashboard. If you successfully referred someone, or if you were the person who was successfully referred, you can prompt the requester to pay by sending them a note from within your Dashboard page. Payment is made via PayPal. The person who made the successful referral will be paid into a PayPal account which will let them retrieve the reward.
ReferQuest tracks closed transactions, and reports how frequently these have occurred. Before making a referral, users will want to know that the person posting the request has a good previous record of paying. If the person posting a request doesn't have a competitive record, users will likely favor the requests made by someone who does. Over time, participants will strive to maintain high ratings in order to maintain the most rewarding participation in the system.
ReferQuest's users gain star ratings based on the frequency of their activities, and how often they are involved in successful transactions. Over time, as ReferQuest grows and gains more history, it will be able to show users how individual's star ratings compare statistically to other users in the system.
Yes. Requesters want the best selection of leads possible. If you can personally solve the requester’s problem, you should refer yourself.
It’s free to post a request on ReferQuest. ReferQuest takes a commission (20%) of the rewards paid on a closed transaction. When requesters enter the reward they’re willing to pay, ReferQuest automatically calculates its commission. Therefore, the amount displayed as the reward is the full amount that will be paid to the person who makes the successful referral. Requesters only authorize payment of the promised reward once they’ve found what they’re looking for, so there’s no risk to post a request and reward.
